Living Wisdom Seminars

At HBC we are wanting to foster deeper community and the Living Wisdom seminars are a great way to look at the way we relate to others and even ways to help others towards more satisfying relationships. These courses are run by our own Family Ministries Director, Raewyn Prendiville annually as a 6 week program or as a weekend or 1 day seminar.

“Living Wisdom gives you real answers to clean out the misbelief in your mind and equip you for a life of better relationships. Wisdom is what is needed to find our way through issues that we inevitability face. Seminars/courses help improve your own life and help others in the home, work place and wider community” - Raewyn.

Valiant Man

Alpha

The Alpha course is particularly aimed at people who have not made any decision about the Christian faith. It’s a great place to discover what it is about and if it is true. We expect people to challenge and evaluate everything that is said.

Very friendly and supportive environment – people are not pressured to believe what they do not want to. Its an environment that encourages people to explore wherever they are at on the journey of spiritual formation, in a safe environment, and to compare that with the claims of Jesus. The course is both intellectual and practical, with many helpful stories.

Alpha is a short, practical exploration of the Christian faith. As you can see, it includes the option of a weekend away. This is a key part of the course, when we consider the topic of the Holy Spirit. This weekend is also great fun, so please write the dates in your diary now. Further details will be available in coming weeks.

Each evening begins with dinner at 7pm and includes a video talk as well as an opportunity to meet in groups to discuss and explore the video topic.
