Overseas Missions

A vital part of the work of Hillsborough Baptist Church is sending out and supporting missionaries to spread the Gospel to the “four corners of the earth”. We currently support more than 20 overseas workers with seven having gone out in the last five years.

Our Mission’s Committee helps us as a church, to focus on cross-cultural missions globally, they keep us praying and in contact with our missionaries and can also help members of the congregation to explore a call to serve God on the mission field.

Also the local Baptist Missionary Fellowship meets monthly at the church to pray for our church missionaries and for Tranzsend.

The website has number of the missionaries and the other mission organizations supported by the church and by people within the church.

If you would like to recieve the Missions newsletters by email, or if there is any other way you think you could help contribute towards the missions ministry, please email us at office@hillsbc.org.nz or contact the office by our online form.

Ways you can be a part of Missions

  • By receiving the overseas missionaries newsletters emailed regularly to those wanting them, and praying for the missionaries as the news comes through.
  • By giving to specific missions agencies/missionaries, designating any particular country or person you feel moved to assist. You could indicate this in the offerings envelopes, or by attaching a note to any gift you wish to donate, or by contacting the church office with your request to contribute.
  • By contributing to the ETN fund.
